Volunteer
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities
Become a Hospice Volunteer!
If you’re looking for a meaningful way to serve your community, we would love to hear from you. Your time, your heart, and your presence can make a true difference.
Volunteers are an essential part of our hospice team. Whether sitting quietly with a patient, helping behind the scenes, or sharing a unique talent, each volunteer brings something meaningful to our patients. Your presence can bring peace, dignity, and warmth to patients in need — and you may find your own life enriched in the process.
Companionship & Support Volunteers
Our companionship and support provide support in many ways — both in the community and in the office. Opportunities may include:
- Companionship visits with patients
-
Running light errands
- Assisting with clerical tasks in the office, such as filing, organizing, or mail prep
Whether you prefer one-on-one interaction or behind-the-scenes work, there’s a place for you here. Full training is provided, no medical experience necessary.
Pet Therapy Volunteers
Certified therapy animals bring comfort, joy, and a calming presence to patients. If you have a trained therapy dog or other certified companion animal, we welcome your partnership in creating moments of connection and peace.
Junior Volunteer Program (Ages 14–18)
Ensuring smooth transitions between in-clinic and at-home care with continuous communication among your healthcare providers.
Music Ministry
Led by our chaplain, music is a powerful part of the care we provide. Volunteers with musical abilities — whether singing, playing instruments, or leading group song — can help create moments of spiritual and emotional comfort for patients and families.
Legacy & Life Celebration Volunteers
Our Legacy and Life Celebration Volunteers help patients and families create lasting memories and meaningful tributes. Whether it’s recording life stories, crafting video memorials, or assisting with celebration of life events, these volunteers bring comfort through creativity. Every project is unique — honoring the individual’s journey, values, and spirit. No special skills are required, just a compassionate heart and the willingness to help others celebrate a life well lived.
