Medical Director and Physician
Dr. James Vogt, MD
Dr. James Vogt is a respected Primary Care Physician serving Maricopa County, Arizona. He completed his undergraduate studies in Michigan before attending medical school at Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, followed by his residency in Appleton, Wisconsin. As the medical director for MD Medical Group, Hospice, and Home Health, Dr. Vogt is committed to bringing primary care back to its roots: an old-fashioned primary care practice where patients receive personal, unrushed care.
Dr. Vogt has called Arizona home since 1994. Outside of work, he enjoys being outdoors—whether he’s golfing, fishing, or hiking.

Lisa Huston, MBA
With 20 years of accounting experience, Lisa brings deep expertise in financial management, forecasting, and GAAP compliance. She previously served as Controller and Director of Financial Systems and Reporting for a manufacturer in the tissue banking industry, where she led major process improvements and system upgrades. Known for her strong command of financial software and her ability to untangle complex workflows, she jumps in wherever needed to drive accuracy and efficiency. Lisa believes collaboration fuels innovation and partners closely with teams to strengthen operations and support smarter decision-making.
Administrator
Alisa Jeffcoat, BSN
Alisa “Ali” is a highly accomplished professional in the medical industry as a board-certified RN in good standing with over 14 years of experience. She has developed a comprehensive skill set and a keen insight into patient care and industry best practices. Her true passion lies in empowering others and building leaders within the community and within our company. She firmly believes that a strong team is the foundation for success. By providing individuals with the proper tools, guidance and support, Ali nurtures their growth and fosters a culture of excellence.
Assistant Director of MD Home Assist
Alicia Horne
Alicia is a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), certified Direct Care Worker (DCW), and Article 9 Instructor with 17 years at MD Home Assist. Her instructional background strengthens staff training and ensures consistent best practices across the team. Known for her hands-on leadership, attention to detail, and strong commitment to client care, Alicia excels in both administrative management and direct field support. Outside of work, she loves cheering on her sons at their college basketball games, enjoying life as a first-time grandmother, and spending time with her Rottweiler, Melo.
Operations Director
Jason Branson, PT, DPT
Jason Branson is a seasoned rehabilitation professional with advanced degrees in Business Economics and Physical Therapy. He has practiced as a physical therapist since 2011 across the full continuum of care, including acute hospital settings, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health. A former outpatient clinic owner, Jason brings a blend of clinical expertise and business acumen, focusing on operational efficiency, resource allocation, and developing high-performing teams. Beyond work, Jason is an avid motorcycle enthusiast, a dedicated musician and recording hobbyist, and an active traveler who seeks out meaningful experiences in new countries.

Shanell Mumba, RN
Shanell is a dedicated Registered Nurse and a proud veteran of the United States Navy. She found her calling in hospice, discovering a deep passion for supporting patients and families during life’s most vulnerable moments. She’s committed to reshaping how hospice is understood by delivering compassionate, informed, and dignified care. With a steady leadership presence and a strong heart for service, Shanell works to elevate hospice standards and empower caregivers with the knowledge and tools they need to transform the end-of-life experience.

Cloe Eckert
Since joining Dr. Vogt and MD Home Health in May 2025, Cloe has been devoted to supporting patients and elevating their primary care experience. With a background in healthcare administration, she’s developed a genuine passion for meaningful, patient-centered care and takes pride in creating welcoming, supportive interactions. Cloe loves collaborating with her team and building strong connections with the patients she serves. Outside of work, she spends most of her time with friends and family. No matter the role, she’s driven to make a positive and lasting impact on the people around her.
